LARGE VINTAGE GALVANISED WEATHERVANE TOP
A fantastic opportunity to acquire something that has been made by an individual who obviously loved planes…. Looks to be basically scratch built, folk art style. Probably totally individual which makes it very unique.
After getting it home, I believe this used to be a top of a weathervane.
As you can see from the condition, it’s heavily weathered, missing one of the engines and three of the propellers.
The tale end horizontal stabilisers appear to be slightly loose but not coming off.
Even though this is a work of art in its own right (in my opinion) and would look absolutely brilliant in any interior…. wouldn’t this also be amazing to restore to its former glory, and reconvert back as a working weathervane?
The new owner can do as they like.
sizes approx
79cm wing to wing width
71cm propeller to tail end.
6.85kg weight
