This next item is rather special.

An early 20th century model Chinese “junk” with carved crew figures and original fabric sails. There is some real provenance attached to this time that is included with the sale:

The boat was purchased circa 1920’s by a Midshipman Tulloch, an officer on HMS Enterprise.

An original photo of the model and a provenance note is included. one photo appears to show the boat on board a vessel (possibly HMS Enterprise). These have been displayed in a mounted frame which also is included with the model. See attached photos for the full provenance note.

The junk arrived to me with some damage to the more delicate areas, which I have taken the time to restore to the best of my abilities and re stick and adapt pieces. There is nothing that can’t be fixed on this boat should it break.

The frame will be posted separately to the junk itself.

The ship measures approximately 140cm in length, and is very impressive display piece overall.

For delivery purposes, the masts and sails have to detach. These are quite delicate and tangle easily. They will be carefully packaged, but the buyer will need to carefully untangle and reassemble.
