VICTORIAN BIRD TAXIDERMY GLASS DOME
Wonderful condition for the age and very well displayed, Victorian taxidermy two exotic birds in a glass dome.
After a bit of research and advice we believe the two species are….
(Australian birds)
RED-CAPPED ROBIN
PHEASANT COUCAL (possibly female)
Obviously the species is not 100% at this point known, but as the Red-CAP Robin is an Australian bird it would make sense also for the other species to be correct.
The dome is in great contain and the base looks great, the base had gold gilding around the edge that had parts missing so a colour match was needed to give it a fresh golden look as it would of been “Back in the day”
Diameter of base: 24cm approximately.
Height: 51cm approximately
