VINTAGE PRICE KENSINGTON SET
Price Kensington x3, Tea Sugar Coffee Pottery figure treacle glazed caddies VGC. In Jan of 1962, Price Bros and Kensington Potteries who were both subsidiaries of Arthur Wood, were amalgamated.
These caddies are all makers marked on the base ,P&K Made in England. They are in very good condition, probably dating from the mid 60's, the sugar one has a chip on his knee that has been touched up at some pint, and the coffee has a very small chip on the rim by the shoulder, none of these detract from the piece's appearance.
They come from a time when it was quite acceptable to link ethnicity with country's exports, ie the Chinaman for Tea, the Mexican for Coffee, and the West Indian for Sugar. They make a great set for display
